As a Plumber Pipefitter, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including : Providing advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventative and predictive maintenance on the industrial or commercial related to general facilities and utilities systems equipment to include but not limited to plumbing, mechanical equipment, motors, pumps, piping, drains, and other equipment as directed.
Minimum Requirements :
Minimum Requirements State of Washington Plumbing Contractors License 5 years' experience in the field of mechanical maintenance and plumbing In addition to education / experience, 3 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance. Must have hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical building systems. Systems experience should include areas such as : plumbing, steam and hot water boilers, air handling units, pumps, compressors, air dryers, and exhaust systems. Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators. Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location. Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line. Ability to obtain an appropriate driver`s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials / authorization. Note : US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials / authorization at this work location. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. Some physical / special requirements include : Regularly lift to 50 lbs Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding Repetitive motions : bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement. Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and / or the work environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preferred Requirements Technical degree preferred. Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses. Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams. Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus. Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
