Lanco Integrated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our growing team. This is an on-site internship located at our facility in Westbrook, Maine. The position will be 20-40 hours per week, depending on workload and availability.
Manufacturing Engineer Intern Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Minor design changes to existing automated assembly station designs
- Conduct vendor correspondence
- Creation of mechanical drawings of parts and assemblies
- Creation of Pneumatic Schematics
- Creation of BOM change documentation
- Participate in internal reviews, as required
- As needed, support the development of machine manuals by updating documentation
- Design of basic automated assembly stations
- Review design input information (Confirmation of Order, costing, schedule, customer parts, etc.).
- Review technical and budgetary details with the Project Engineer
- Estimate and document station cycle times
- Assist in vendor correspondence and Requests for Quotation
- As needed, support the machine build process throughout the purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and debug phases of the assigned projects
- As needed, assist in the development of standards in mechanical design
- As needed, assist Customer Service in support of Field Engineering
- As needed, assist in projects the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer may be involved in to further Lanco’s goals
Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an engineering program, or equivalent.
- Interest in automation design
- Proficient in MS Office, 3-D CAD Exposure
- Capable of performing basic mechanical engineering computations.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Travel may be required
