Land Design Associates, a well-established landscape design and construction company, is seeking a Landscape Yard Manager to oversee daily yard operations, maintain an organized inventory system, and ensure the efficiency of our equipment and tool management. This role is essential to supporting our construction and maintenance enhancement teams, which specialize in grading, planting, landscape lighting, and the installation of hardscaping features such as patios, fire pits, retaining walls, and outdoor kitchens.
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can enhance organization and efficiency within our yard operations.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an inventory management system for all tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Conduct daily truck and equipment inspections, ensuring proper maintenance schedules are followed.
- Load and prepare materials for all vehicles at the end of each day to streamline job site efficiency.
- Keep the yard and all indoor storage areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish best practices for inventory tracking and storage.
- Coordinate the transportation of equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Assist in purchasing and restocking materials as needed.
- Ensure all equipment, including loaders, mowers, and plows, is properly maintained and operational.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in yard/warehouse operations or a similar role.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) for inventory tracking.
- Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, and excavators.
- Experience towing trailers and transporting equipment.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred but not required).
- MA DOT Medical Card (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Hoisting License preferred (must obtain within 3 months of hire).
