Landscape Designer/Sales

Land Escapes LLC is an established landscape design/installation/construction company with over 20 years in the business. We design, install and maintain landscape, hardscape , and irrigation systems mainly in Johnson county.

We are looking to hire a positive, can do, creative designer who can work with residential customers and lead our installers, designing/estimating/selling landscape projects. This is a full time position in residential landscape design and sales.

The Landscape Designer must be thoroughly familiar with designing all aspects of landscape construction to include site analysis including but not limited to plant selection and placement, paver/concrete/flagstone patios, irrigation systems, water features, lighting, etc.

The Landscape Designer must have excellent analytical as well as aesthetic skills and provide excellent customer service. The Landscape Designer monitors the installation of landscape and irrigation projects on a daily basis and interfaces with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. The Landscape Designer will also interface with the office staff and team members. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Residential Design/Sales Position

• Designs residential projects for new customers.
• Interfaces with customers and ensures that all of the customer's concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
• Establishes design budgets and deadlines for customers.
• Conducts appropriate site analysis, and measurements.
• Presents final design.
• Continually informs and updates customers as to design progress or lack thereof.
• Conducts site visits and ensures the project is produced as designed with appropriate materials.
• Analyzes and approves all change orders.
• Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies and procedures.

Skill set and educational requirements: The Landscape Designer must possess the following skill set and educational background:

• Must have landscape design and sales experience at least 1 year.
• College Degree preferred in Landscape Design but not required.

Knowledge of plant names, residential landscaping, hardscaping, retaining walls, patios, pavers and irrigation systems.

• Able to conduct a thorough site analysis.
• Able to analyze drainage and grading requirements.
• Able to design quickly and efficiently.
• Able to translate designs into working drawings/documents for field personnel.
• Possess a valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided).
• Clean criminal record.
• Proficient in both oral and written communications.
• Proficient in Google Sheets/Outlook Mail.
• Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask in a fast paced work environment.
• Complete all tasks correctly and on time.
• Experience with customer service.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Supports organization's goals and values.
• Follow policies and procedures.
• Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities.
• Undertake self-development activities.
