Summary Description:
The Revenue Audit Supervisor reports to the Revenue Audit Manager. Supports all accounting activities for the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort. Assist with the day to day processing of journal entries, reviewing all audit programs, and processing the weekly gaming taxes. Assist with Revenue Audit Manager when directed by management. Supervises the revenue auditors. Acting manager in the absence of the Revenue Audit Manager.
Essential Job Duties:
- To complete month end duties, prepare, and post journal entries
- To complete monthly reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
- Responsible for the accuracy of all audit programs.
- Responsible for the timeliness and response to all audit exceptions.
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing all Mississippi Gaming Commission reporting.
- Responsible for preparing the daily operating report.
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management required.
- Must have three (3) plus years gaming industry experience.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Works well under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience in a hotel/casino environment in an auditing or finance area.
- Advanced computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must possess knowledge of internal controls, accounting control procedures of gaming operations, general ledger, and casino accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
