What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Specialist position at Land O'Lakes?
Land O'Lakes seeks a Safety & Compliance Manager to establish and implement transportation safety procedures and programs. This role will partner with the DOT Compliance Team to ensure regulatory compliance and develop training programs for staff and drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- DOT/ELD Compliance Management: Ensure Electronic Log Device (ELD) fleet compliance, monitor ELD reporting requirements, and address any violations.
- DOT Driver Compliance: Verify all criteria is met when hiring drivers, collaborate on corrective actions, and maintain compliant Driver DQ Files.
- DOT/EHS Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to federal, state, local, and company safety policies, including OSHA, SOX, EHS, HR, DOT, Hazmat, etc.
Required Experience/Education:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; post-high school education preferred.
- Experience: Five plus years related experience in Transportation industry and/or Supply Chain working with DOT regulations and safety programs.
- Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software.
