About the Role
The Director of Maintenance Operations will lead the development and implementation of strategies to improve overall maintenance practices and processes at Land O'Lakes. This includes increasing equipment up-time, maintaining plant utilities functions, and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
This role requires strong leadership and direction to the reliability function, with a focus on safe, effective, and efficient use of resources. The successful candidate will define, implement, and manage systems, maintenance organization structure, and processes necessary to achieve and sustain the reliability mission.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing ammonia refrigeration systems, process hazard analysis, and process safety management. They will also possess people leadership experience and skills, as well as expertise with high-speed and high-volume dairy foods manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the reliability team to develop and implement strategies to improve overall maintenance practices and processes
- Developing and controlling the maintenance budget to optimize spending and achieve agreed-upon capacity and asset reliability
- Ensuring standard reliability and maintenance work processes are followed, implementing and tracking maintenance KPIs
- Analyzing operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance-related metrics/KPIs
- Developing and leading the reliability process to continuously improve equipment up-time and reduce related maintenance cost
- Implementing and detailing Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP) on plant equipment
