Job Title: Flex Production Operator
We are seeking a flexible production operator to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who need a job that fits around their schooling, family, or other commitments. We offer 4-hour shifts, with a minimum of 15 hours per week.
The main requirement for this role is night help between 8PM and 6AM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
As a production operator, you will be the front-line employee responsible for performing manufacturing processes that add value and quality to inputs and create final high-quality products. You will work in various sub-classifications within the operator job family, which may include receiving and handling raw materials, adding value through proprietary processes, and packaging the final product.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing tasks safely and efficiently, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and sanitation.
- Using basic computer skills to support production processes.
We require the following qualifications and skills:
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic math.
- Critical thinking skills, including logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Safety awareness, ensuring the physical safety of oneself and colleagues at all times.
- Time management skills, including punctuality, task completion by deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities.
- Coordination skills, working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes.
- Active learning and listening skills, understanding implications of new information for problem-solving and decision-making.
Physical requirements for production positions include:
- Able to lift 55.1lbs.
- Frequent movement, including walking, standing, bending, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements.
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods, with exposure to dust and chemicals.
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime.
