Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment issues to prevent downtime
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment runs efficiently
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of plant equipment and systems
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations
• Participate in training and development programs to improve technical skills
Requirements:
• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations as required
• Moderate computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
• Certification in areas such as fork lift operation, electrical systems, or hydraulics an asset
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 years of experience with electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to be trained for certification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities
• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing a team of maintenance personnel
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for manufacturing equipment, packaging equipment, and building systems
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
• Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime
