What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at Land O'Lakes?
This position is the front-line employee who performs the manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the inputs and create the final high-quality final products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and handling raw materials, adding value through proprietary processes, and packaging the final product while prioritizing safety, attention to detail, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various sub-classifications within the Operator job family
- Operate equipment and machinery in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers in a team environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 plus months of solid work experience in any industry
- Basic computer skills
- Able to follow manufacturer's specifications and direction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment
Working Conditions:
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods
