What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at Land O'Lakes?
Production Operator
PAY: $23 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift M-F, 12:00PM - 8:30PM (Feb-Aug), 1:00PM - 11:30PM (Sep-Jan), extended hours and occasional weekend work may be required.
Role Focus: Mixer Operator
In this role, you will perform front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs and create high-quality products. You will gain skills and experience taking raw materials to produce final products for customers. This includes operating machinery and equipment, packaging the final product.
You will be a key member of our manufacturing team at Land O'Lakes, Inc., performing tasks that require collaboration and adherence to safety procedures. We serve producers and animal owners throughout the United States with innovative nutritional products and practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety processes and insist on safe practices for yourself and others.
- Show up on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
- Able to multi-task and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all quality standards and standard operating procedures are followed during production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area.
- Collaborate with Leads and Management to accomplish daily work assignments.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 1 year or more of work experience in any industry.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
- Strong collaboration, communication skills, and respectful demeanor.
Preferred Experience:
- 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
- Machine operation and/or forklift experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements.
- Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Work in temperature zones including cold and/or hot environments for extended periods, which may include areas with dust and chemicals present.
- Required to work scheduled shifts, including weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime.
