The primary role of the Survey Jr Crew Chief is assisting the Crew Chief and ultimately learning how to run a crew.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Utilize level rod, prism pole or tape when instructed by Survey Crew Chief and under their direction.
- Lay out stakes.
- Learn how to use the different surveying equipment
- Cut and clear bushes and trees from line of survey with machete
- Carry instruments, field equipment, hammers, stakes, nails, etc.
- Keep survey crew vehicle supplied with equipment; clean and organized
- Carry out instructions and tasks assigned by Survey Crew Chief
General Requirements:
1-2 years of experience as a Jr. Crew Chief or Instrument Man is required.
- Ability to work outdoors under all different weather and site conditions with occasional extended hours.
- Willing to work locally or travel within the state of Florida.
- Must pass background check, have a valid Driver’s License and an insurable driving record.
- Must have a reliable way to work each day.

Work Hours
Monday through Friday; Overtime and weekend work available.
