What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser position at Land's End Management Corporation?
Summary of Positions: A bus person waters, sets and clears tables. Such duties must be performed in a conscientious and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. A Bus Person should be sociable and must follow directions.
Essential Functions:
1. Check and re-plenish server stations for adequate stock of silverware, dishes, ice, condiments (i.e. salt, pepper, sugar, etc.) Stock needed items.
2. Checks each table for complete settings.
3. Checks dining area and maintain high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping for all stations in the inside dining areas, or outside deck as assigned.
4. Greets guest and fill water glasses.
5. Clear and sort dishware and silverware into appropriate bus tubs at stations or within kitchen. Move filled bus tubs to dish station and replace with empty, clean tub.
6. Keeps stations clean and adequately stocked throughout shift; place settings organized and ready to go.
7. As guests depart, clear and reset the table as quickly as possible.
8. Check with MOD before leaving.
Other Functions:
1. Assists in guest services as directed by food server (only if such services do not conflict with the basic functions of the bus person and limitations set by hostess or F&B manager).
2. Perform post side work and other duties as directed by the manager.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
1. Ability to follow directions.
2. Must possess physical stamina; able to bend, squat, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Qualifications:
1. Previous job experience is helpful or on the job training available.
