Job Description

Summary of Position : A Lodge Housekeeper is a critical front-line position entrusted to uphold the highest industry standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the Land’s End Lodges. In addition to general cleaning of the Lodges, Housekeepers stock their cleaning cart, assist the Storekeeper as directed to clear rooms of refuse and dirty linens, and re-stock linen closets.

Essential Functions :

Help the team fulfill Land’s End’s Mission to “Bring Joy to Our Customers Every Day.”
Support the Lodges Manager and Head Housekeeper in fulfilling their daily priorities.
At beginning of shift, assist Lodge Storekeeper as necessary by removing refuse to dumpster and dirty linens to pre-determined collection points after each guest stay.
Implement Lodges cleaning and re-making standards for all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and other areas.
Disinfect bathroom fixtures and counters, including mirrors, tubs, sinks and showers.
Vacuum; dust, mop and perform other general cleaning duties as assigned.
Re-supply guestroom amenities and re-make beds and rooms to Lodge standards.
Wash only accessible windows inside and out : Note : Housekeepers do not climb on ladders
Special detailing in Lodges include :

Wipe down deck furniture without rearranging furniture.

Washing dishes and emptying dishwasher.

Dust counters, baseboards, windowsills, furniture, picture frames, plants, etc.

Move furniture to vacuum under it.

Clean kitchen area and appliances, including microwave, refrigerators.

Check that TV, fireplace, radio and lights work. Clean & disinfect TV remotes.

Set up any extra beds, towels, or other requests.

Re-stock cleaning carts and linen / towel storage closets as requested.

Re-stock room and kitchen amenities.

Re-stock cleaning caddies in unit as needed. Take inventory of needed supplies and convey to Head Housekeeper.

Qualifications :

Must enjoy hospitality and the service industry.

Ability to work independently and with a team.

Ability to work around cleaning chemicals.

Ability to lift 40 lbs., bend, kneel and climb stairs, and to stand for long periods.

Ability to take direction, and to follow fixed processes, procedures, and policies.

Proficiency with basic typing, computer programs, and communication devices.

Ability to meet and to maintain Land’s End dress code and personal conduct polices.
