Summary of Position : This position works a late evening or night shift and is accountable to surveil, report on, and to protect Land’s End property, guests and personnel. The position is expected to maintain a high-visibility presence to discourage unwelcomed activity. The emphasis is on conducting regular patrols of the buildings and grounds at night, and to detect, deter and to report. Upon request, the Security Agent may also perform small tasks which involve light Maintenance, or administrative tasks. The Security Agent will be trained in the C Shift / Night audit position in order to sufficiently provide backup as needed.
Essential Functions :
- Maintain a global awareness of all activity in and around the hotel during the shift.
- Follow nightly checklist. Strictly adhere to company service and operating standards.
- Secure guest rooms, offices, closets and perimeter doors when patrolling property.
- Respond to emergencies. Answer alarms and cautiously investigate guest disturbances.
- Maintain a daily log of surveillance activity, including irregularities, breaches in security, loss or damage or property, and accidents.
- Engage potential violators by communicating LEAC standards and policies; by issuing warnings to those who may be trespassing; and by calling law enforcement as warranted.
- Support internal customers by assisting guests and accomplishing projects as requested.
- Must train for and be able to fulfill the job duties of C shift / Night Auditor and be available to cover for this position weekly.
