Summary of Position :

The Sales & Marketing Manager first and foremost supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in the execution of LEAC’s annual marketing plan.

The Sales & Marketing Department manages the major functions of Group Sales; Special Event Sales; Revenue Management; guest database and monthly newsletter publication; social media; website management; and internal advertising and promotions. The Sales and Marketing Manager is expected to become knowledgeable and proficient in most, if not all of these areas in order to assist the Director, and to assume his or her duties in their absence. Thus, this position will train in all management and supervisory roles within the Department, such as Groups or Special Event management, and may be expected to oversee such personnel as directed.

Essential Functions :

• Fully support the Director with the implementation of LEAC’s Annual Marketing Plan and her other essential job duties. Perform the Director’s duties in her absence, as assigned.
• Help train and supervise all Sales & Marketing team personnel in their assigned duties, as directed.
• Fulfill the duties of Sales & Marketing personnel, including Groups management, as directed.
• Support internal training in special event execution, central reservations, and general sales.
• Assist President with monthly newsletter, review and approval of Sales invoices, with guest database management; with rate management; and with internal coordination of all Sales and Marketing activities with other Land’s End Departments.
• Create Special Event Traffic Sheets with instructions from, and for review by, the Director. Print and distribute traffic sheets to the appropriate department heads.
• Represents Land’s End locally and with in-state trade shows, conferences and expos as requested.
• Coordinate Group and Special Event reconciliation and proper posting of revenue with accounting.
