Warehouse Associate

Overview

The Warehouse Associate is a full-time hourly position.  Occasionally, weekend/overtime will be required to meet the needs of the customer.  This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral; forklift experience is beneficial, but we will train, excellent computer skills. The position is responsible for receiving, picking, packing, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job function.

Responsibilities

• The position is responsible for receiving, picking, packing, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
• Ensure warehouse is accessible, safe, and clean for all visitors
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Sweep, dust, mop, and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times

• Wear the proper safety equipment

• Any and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED Equivalency
• Prior RF Unit Experience preferred
• Excellent customer service, problem solving and decision making skills desired
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
• Ability and availability to work extended hours including nights and weekends as needed by the customer
• Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
