Job summary
Landau Laboratories, the leading Cannabis testing laboratory in Coachella Valley, seeks a Sampling Technician specialist in LOS ANGELES, California.
We are looking for accountable and responsible individuals with a friendly demeanor to join the Landau Labs team. This position requires someone comfortable to work with and collect cannabis samples.
Sampling Technician will work both in the field at customer sites and in the laboratory; will travel and be responsible for driving the company’s vehicle. This will be a primarily local route during the business day, although some out-of-the-area locations can be expected.
Sampling Technician ensures cannabis samples are collected using appropriate methods, sterile technique, and personal protective equipment following the standard operating procedures (SOPs). Sampling Technician will be required to adhere strictly to Safety and Quality Assurance Protocols.
Hours of work may include early mornings, and some late evenings, and possibly occasional weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Sampling Technician represents Laboratory while visiting the client's facilities for pickup of the samples. Along with laboratory management, the Sampling Technician will permanently work on developing customer relations and providing excellent customer service.
Collecting client samples for testing in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and regulations as well as meticulously documenting the sample collection and required information.
Maintain proper sample chain of custody from client site to vehicle and laboratory.
Complete all necessary intake documentation and verifying receipt of samples once they are returned to the lab; entering information into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Coordinating the sampling plan, route effectiveness, location of pickups with the supervisor.
Use analytical balances, lab equipment, electronics, specialty printers, take photographs of the samples.
Drive, stand and possibly walk for an extended time (during sample collection) and be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications and skills.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Associate Degree preferred
- Coursework in Chemistry is a plus
- Cannabis industry experience is a plus
- Must be over 21 years old
- Must have a minimum of a 3-year driving experience with a clean record
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Background Check and MVR Check Required
- Good people skills for interacting with customers and working with the scientific team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Windows PC and Microsoft Office experience
- Professionalism and good work ethic
- Multi-tasking and time management skills
Compensation
We offer competitive salary based on candidate's personal factors such as demonstrated hard and soft skills, level of education, history in the sector or industry, and relevant work experience. Medical Insurance coverage benefit. Compensation starting from $18/hr. Probation period 90 days.
