Who are we? We’re Landers Window & Exterior Cleaning. Amos Landers started this company 31 years ago – with a GEO Metro in a town of 2500 people & 15 businesses. He had one year to make profit (not going to happen starting in November in Oklahoma). We beat the odds and are still going strong. Over the years we have built, expanded, and grew. We’ve got 8 on staff, 4 trucks on the road, and many happy customers served. And we help others too – we’re strong supporters of The House FM, Dearing House Child Advocacy Center and Arts and Humanities Council.

--- and it feels like we are only getting started. We recently moved our home office to Del City, we’re adding more team members, and you should see the plan we have for growth beyond this.

Job Description

Apprentice Commercial Window Cleaner

Today is awesome! You loaded your vehicle (any vehicle will do) with a clean bucket and pole, squeegees, and scrubbers, and showed up to the first job. It’s quiet, and there’s no traffic because it’s early. You’ve got the education to understand what’s to be done… now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and put it into action.

And away you go, store to store, making the windows and ledges look brand new. You present an app from your mobile device for signature to ensure an excellent customer experience. You hop in your car and go to the next shopping center. Rinse and repeat, averaging 15 to 20 stores a day and before you know it your day is done and it’s still early. You wrap up and send a “day completed” text to your supervisor. Another day is done and you’re already looking forward to tomorrow. Your day is your own.

Job Duties:

Work with the team: You stay in contact with your supervisor to make sure the day’s work orders are completed efficiently – everyone pitches in because we all have the same responsibility. It’s ultimately about serving the customer.

Develop your expertise: You clean windows, knowing that you’re adding a positive experience to our customers lives through the services we offer, in turn giving them more free time and peace of mind to run their businesses. Over time, you gain a growing expertise in the services we offer.

Become a trusted professional: You keep your tools neat, clean, and well maintained so they’re handy and ready for use and safe. You are VERY detailed oriented. You understand the job-scope, equipment, your phone is charged, etc. because you’ll know that this keeps everyone informed – from the customer to the supervisor to the team back at the office.

Pathways to advancement: You will start as a Service Technician with the goal of becoming an Area Supervisor. Once there, you will be trained to manage your team. Your next goal is to grow with the company looking for additional opportunities to further your career. Each pathway to advancement opens doors for more pay. Our window cleaning technicians earn $500 to $750 per week!

Job Requirements:

You love to learn: You have a high school diploma or equivalent. You have a cell phone. You don’t need experience to apply here but must be coachable and willing to learn. Most importantly, you have a drive to learn more because you know that it serves everyone – from the customer to the team to yourself. You’ll learn our culture, job site safety, customer interaction, how to up-sell, and get an overview of our entire system and processes.

You’re a tech-savvy people person: You love the challenge you’re posed with and the adventure of completing a job well done. At the same time, you’re comfortable talking to a storeowner and professionally educating them in what their options are. Service recommendations, technical information, cleaning agents? No problem.

You’re ready to work: You have a driver’s license, a ready-to-work attitude, and a reliable vehicle to manage your commercial storefront route. And no problem handling the physical demands of the job – such as lifting 20 lbs., reaching and bending, hot summers and cold winters.

You’re a professional: You are clean, neat, and well-groomed in appearance and you understand that safety is paramount. You can engage with the customer and make them feel as if they are part of the LWC family.

You learn every aspect of the job. You look, speak, and dress like a professional. You keep your work area clean and orderly. You are focused and clear-headed. You don’t let mistakes slide by. You complete jobs by the deadline. You are level-headed and optimistic. You handle money very carefully. You produce more than expected.
