Responsibilities:
· Follows directions from the Irrigation Tech and is responsible for Implementing, troubleshooting, and repairing moderately basic irrigation systems (e.g., valves, controllers, mainlines, laterals).
· Performs grounds maintenance functions (e.g., pulling weeds, raking leaves) using hand tools (e.g., pick, shovel) or landscape equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, weed eaters). Plants and waters vegetation.
· Attends process, policy and safety meetings and role models PPE usage; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
· Maintains tools and equipment to ensure safety and attends safety meetings.
· Completes work accurately and efficiently thereby improving gross margin.
· Recognizes areas for improvement in the landscape and communicates this to the Irrigation Tech
· Maintains parts inventory on vehicle.
· Learns how to complete Irrigation Reports and Service Requests and is available for “on call” emergencies.
· Basic knowledge of computerized irrigation systems; installs, programs, and monitors computerized.
· Provides excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to clients, work-site partners, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
· Demonstrates basic knowledge of horticultural techniques, pest control procedures, and weed control methods.
· Understands the relationship between job quality and customer service, satisfaction, and retention; ensures all job responsibilities are performed in accordance with company protocol.
· Reports non-landscape issues to the Crew Leader in a timely manner, including Safety incidences and any accidents that may have or resulted in an injury.
· Provides excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to clients, work-site partners, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
Competencies:
· Knowledgeable of Safe work practices
· Experience with basic irrigation systems (e.g., valves, controllers, tracing, mainlines, laterals)
· Proficient in the use of grounds maintenance landscape equipment, hand tools safely and basic mathematics
· Experience with plant identification and their proper care
· Basic understanding of how to read of blueprints and gardening principles (e.g., pruning, planting, watering)
· Basic knowledge of administrative processes (e.g., Irrigation Reports and Service Requests); computerized, centralized, and large-scale (i.e., 25 or more clocks) irrigation systems; elementary computer skills.

Qualifications:
· 2 years of professional irrigation experience similar to that described above.
· Clean driving record and valid license
· Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus

Work Environment
This job operates 100% of the time in a field environment. This role routinely uses landscape specific equipment such as company vehicles, hand tools, construction equipment, chemicals, and phones.
