Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute client-facing and business development events such as conferences, receptions, and dinners.
- Work independently with the Business Development team, attorneys, and other firm personnel to oversee all stages of event planning and execution.
- Develop event timelines and communicate progress to the appropriate Business Development Manager or attorney.
- Research and suggest appropriate venues regionally and nationally, coordinating site visits as needed.
- Coordinate with venues to secure reservations, contracts, menus, event logistics, and AV requirements.
- Collaborate with the Business Development and Communications team on mailing lists, invitations, RSVP management, and nametags.
- Oversee onsite implementation of events to ensure successful execution and attorney satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues.
- Stay updated on emerging venues and produce quarterly internal communications with new venue recommendations.
- Provide backup support for sponsorship event logistics and manage marketing promotional merchandise inventory.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required.
- 2-3 years of events/marketing experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, preferably in a law firm or similar professional services organization.
- Proficiency with Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of website content management systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including early mornings and evenings as necessary.
- Hybrid position with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
