A small private investment firm in Boston is hiring a Vice President to join their Private Investments Group.

- Investment Monitoring and Management
- Participating in the ongoing monitoring of fund investments and the underlying portfolio companies
- Portfolio Analysis
- Preparing in-depth portfolio analytics in order to
- assess sponsor performance for investment decision-making and asset allocation
- evaluate capital deployment pacing, and
- o construct and develop private investment portfolios for clients
- Portfolio Monitoring and Management
- Monitoring market trends and helping to contribute to Spinnaker Capital’s thought leadership in this area
- Client Servicing
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly client reporting packages related to private investments
- Investment Due Diligence
- Assisting with quantitative and qualitative due diligence for the purposes of evaluating investment opportunities in private companies and funds
- The candidate must be a CFA
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in a related financial services business, including duties associated with private investments. Experience may include working for an endowment, foundation, multi-family office, law firm, or other professional services firm
- Experience with valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow analysis
- Effective and efficient — detail oriented; ability to multi-task; strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, OFFSET, XIRR, etc.)
- Accountable – has a client service orientation and drives towards results; produces high quality work and takes full ownership of one’s duties and responsibilities
