Job Overview:
Join our team as a Meter Reader and play a crucial role in ensuring accurate utility readings for our customers. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for collecting data on utility meters, providing essential information for billing purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize electrical and mechanical knowledge to read utility meters accurately.
- Use power tools and hand tools to access and record meter readings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in low voltage systems and cabling to ensure proper meter connections.
- Operate a voltmeter to measure electrical current accurately.
- Perform field service duties related to meter reading and maintenance.
- Assist in equipment repair and maintenance as needed.
- Utilize utility locating skills to identify meter locations effectively.
Experience:
- Prior experience in a similar field service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with meter reading processes and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in an outdoor setting.
