As such the Administrative Assistant is employed by Landis Communities. The Administrative Assistant is responsible to the Lancaster Downtowner’s Executive Director, in addition to Landis Communities policies and responsibilities as outlined in the employee handbook.

- Provides general administrative support for the Executive Director.
- Provides primary coverage for Lancaster Downtowners office visitors during office hours. Answer general questions as appropriate.
- Supports member requests for event registration, membership enrollment and renewal, website support, and resource requests, as appropriate.
- Supports volunteer enrollment, including maintaining clearances.
- Processes, maintains, and updates organization documents such as policies and procedures, committee minutes, monthly administrative volunteer tracking, board packets, and other organizational documentation.
- Maintains petty cash, expense/reimbursement forms, and communicates with
- Provides Executive Director, Committees, and Board with requested mailing labels, nametags, reports, printing, postcards; monitors supply and orders marketing collateral as needed in consult with the Executive Director.
- Supports communications including the monthly newsletter, program & community email updates, and special events, as directed by the Executive Director.
- Supports the Executive Director, Committees and Board by updating information on the Downtowners’ website including the event calendar, resource directory, committee chair and membership list, and member profiles as needed.
- Schedules meeting and event spaces as needed, including facilitating payments and contracts.
- Utilizes a pleasant, clear and positive voice and disposition in creating an atmosphere of warmth, efficiency and confidence to all persons in the community, even under pressure.
- Demonstrates dependability, competence, and accuracy.

Position Working Conditions
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Daily walking, standing, sitting, talking and hearing in person and on phone, vision for close work and depth perception, using hands to feel or hold, maintaining balance, repetitive motion, keyboarding, bending, twisting, crouching, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- SCHEDULE CONSIDERATIONS: Works on-site in the Lancaster Downtowners office for the majority of hours worked, with consideration for sporadic work-from-home arrangements. Regular hours will be scheduled between 9am and 5pm Monday thru Friday.
- High school diploma/GED in reading and writing skills required.
