Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Certified HDPE Pipe Fuser Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HDPE piping systems, utilizing specialized fusion welding techniques to join pipes and fittings, and ensuring all work adheres to safety and quality standards..
This position requires strong attention to safety protocols, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a solid understanding of construction site procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Fusion Welding: Perform HDPE fusion welding techniques, including butt fusion, socket fusion, and electrofusion, to join pipes and fittings.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including attending safety training classes and following company guidelines.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain fusion welding equipment, such as butt fusion machines, socket fusion tools, and electrofusion machines, backhoes, trucks & trailers (for hauling pipe).
- Operate 1ton Truck with Gooseneck. (CDL Preferred)
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of fusion welds and repairs via datalogger
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans and schedules.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
- Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the supervisor.
- Ensure the job site is kept clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license & Class A CDL (preferred)
- Possess practical experience in HDPE pipe fusion welding and installation.
- Experience in HDD or drilling projects
- Ability to interpret blueprints and follow instructions.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform manual labor type tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with excavators, backhoes, and loaders.
- Additional safety certifications (OSHA, etc.).
