Drainage Survey Technician

Landmark Companies are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Drainage Survey Technician to join our growing team. As a Drainage Survey Technician, you will play a key role in assessing drainage systems, designing drainage plans, performing surveys, and ensuring proper installation and maintenance of drain tile systems for agricultural purposes.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Drainage Survey Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site surveys to assess drain tile systems' layout, function, and condition.
• Use specialized equipment to map out drainage systems, identifying any issues or areas in need of repair.
• Work with engineering teams to design and install effective drainage solutions.
• Document survey results and provide detailed reports for clients.
• Inspect and analyze existing drain tile systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Design effective drainage plans based on soils, topography, and client’s needs.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during all surveys and installations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot survey equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or technical degree in a related field is a plus).
• Previous experience in surveying, construction, plumbing, or drainage systems preferred.
• Knowledge of drainage systems, construction methods, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with survey equipment, including GPS and underground locating devices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in drainage or surveying (such as CCLS or PLS).
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar software for survey documentation.
• Previous experience with drain tile installation or maintenance.
