Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets self as an example of workplace safety; utilizes all personal protective equipment required for each project site
- Operates heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
- Ability to operate Bulldozers, Excavators and Motor Graders
- Ability to operate support equipment such as front-end loaders, rubber tire backhoes, mini-excavators, skid steers, off road trucks, rollers, etc.)
- Knowledge of GPS equipment including machine control & GPS rover
- Perform preventive equipment maintenance (including greasing, checking & maintaining oil / fluid levels, filters, etc.)
- Properly secure equipment each day
- Notify project foreman of project field problems

Position Requirements
Preferred Training and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate Bulldozers, Excavators and Motor Graders efficiently
- Ability to operate support equipment well (including front end loader, rubber tire backhoe, mini-excavator, skid steer, off road truck, roller, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Work involves sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time
