Job Description:
Landmark Excavating, Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our expanding team in Utah County and surrounding areas. As a senior mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our construction equipment through preventive maintenance and minor repairs. More than anything you will be helping younger mechanics understand how to do their job. Your primary responsibility will be to train and mentor jr. mechanics.
Responsibilities:
- Train jr. mechanics on how to do their job
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on excavation equipment.
- Grease and fuel equipment as needed.
- Order parts when needed and keep track of and turn in receipts and other paperwork.
- Safely pull a trailer to pick up supplies and parts for crews on site.
- Assist shop employees as needed, demonstrating a willingness to support the team.
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Reliability, responsibility, and a commitment to prioritizing safety above all else.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Mechanically inclined individuals preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
