Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Fabrication Yard Driver to join our team at Landmark Fabrication. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment within our fabrication shop yard, supporting our production processes and ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of yard vehicles, including forklifts, cranes, and trucks, to transport materials and equipment within the fabrication shop yard.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads to prevent damage or injury.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the fabrication shop yard, including inventory management, storage, and organization of materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment according to project schedules and priorities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established guidelines for safe operation of yard vehicles.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on yard vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in other fabrication shop activities and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Prior experience operating yard vehicles, including forklifts, cranes, and trucks, preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures for handling materials and operating yard vehicles.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
