Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems for various properties. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in ensuring irrigation systems operate efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including sprinklers, valves, controllers, and drip systems.
- Perform system diagnostics and identify water use efficiency improvements.
- Program and adjust irrigation timers and controllers to optimize water usage.
- Conduct regular inspections and perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems.
- Ensure proper grading and drainage to prevent water pooling and erosion.
- Communicate effectively with clients, account manager, and branch manager to ensure project needs and deadlines are met.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in excellent working condition.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an irrigation technician or in a similar role (certifications are a plus).
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and water management best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and irrigation schematics.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques for irrigation installation and repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
