Key Responsibilities for the Landscape Professional
Maintenance:
- Perform routine lawn and landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning.
- Inspect and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments to enhance plant health.
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and machinery.
- Identify and address plant health concerns.
Installation:
- Assist in the design and construction of new landscapes.
- Install trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, ornamental grasses, sod, and other landscape elements.
- Perform hardscaping tasks such as installing pavers, retaining walls, and outdoor structures.
- Operate excavation and grading equipment for site preparation.
- Ensure proper drainage and soil conditions for plant growth.
General Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety guidelines and best practices in landscaping.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
Qualifications:
- All experience levels are welcome—entry-level to experienced professionals.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina for lifting, bending, and other labor-intensive tasks.
- Landscape maintenance and/or installation knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record, is preferred. Please disclose any driving violations or restrictions, if applicable.
- Certifications in landscaping, horticulture, or construction are a plus.
