**Job Title:** Medical Records Officer

**Responsibilities:**
- Organize and manage medical records in compliance with regulatory standards such as ICD-10 coding
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient information for efficient healthcare delivery
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to retrieve and update medical records as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist in the transition to electronic health records (EHR) system for seamless data management
- Handle requests for medical records from authorized personnel while adhering to privacy guidelines
- Support medical staff in accessing patient information for treatment planning and research purposes
**Skills:**
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record keeping
- Familiarity with different medical specialties to effectively categorize records
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and patients
**Requirements:**
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- Certification in Medical Records Management is a plus
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting handling medical records is advantageous
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems and software applications is preferred
- Understanding of confidentiality laws and ethical standards in handling medical information
