Accounting Intern - Summer 2025

Job Description

The Accounting Intern – Financial Reporting is a paid role, which will assist the financial reporting team with their day-to-day responsibilities to help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across a large portfolio of student housing properties. Interns will gain real world accounting experience working for the country’s leading student housing developer.

This is a full-time, on-site internship. The internship program will run from June 3, 2025 through August 8, 2025

Reports to: Accounting Supervisor – Financial Reporting

Direct Reports: None

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role’s responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

• Review Financial Statements.
• Assist with audit requests.
• Assist with quarterly reporting.
• Prepare miscellaneous reports for internal and external use.
• Reconcile cash and equity transactions.
• Completion of special projects as assigned.
• Assist and learn from the accounting team.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Undergraduate students working toward an accounting degree.
  
  

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Completed Intermediate Accounting
• Experience in Excel
