LANDMARK is seeking reliable and experienced Snow Plow Truck Operator to join our team for the upcoming snow season. This position is responsible for efficiently clearing snow and maintaining safe driving conditions for residential and commercial properties in the Cedar Rapids area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of operating snow removal equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a snow plow truck to clear designated routes of snow and ice, including streets, driveways, walkways, and parking lots.
- Apply de-icing or anti-icing materials as needed.
- Utilize hand tools for additional snow removal tasks as necessary.
- Monitor weather conditions to be prepared for immediate dispatch.
- Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure the equipment is in proper working order.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and follow assigned routes and instructions.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and traffic regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience operating snow plow trucks or similar equipment is strongly preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently in adverse weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods and handle the demands of snow removal work.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from shop location.
