Primary Responsibilities
Responsible
for completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Responsible
for breakdown or disassembly of equipment and reassembling equipment.
Responsible
for performing sanitation procedures on all equipment in assigned area.
Responsible
for cleaning equipment using hazardous chemicals, at the correct solution
strength setup by our chemical supplier to adequately clean the equipment
and prevent any injury to personnel, or damage to equipment due to
improper chemical use.
Responsible
for cleaning equipment required by Land O'Frost, Inc. Sanitation Standard
Operating Procedures (SSOP).
Responsible
for reporting any inadequacies or damage found to equipment to supervisor.
Responsible
for performing pre –operational inspection of equipment in assigned area prior
to crew leader’s inspection.
Responsible
for responding to any USDA sanitation related request.
Responsible
for working as a team member with co-workers to achieve the overall
sanitation objectives of the plant.
Responsible
for taking and passing chemical training.
Responsible
for taking and passing Lockout/Tagout course for authorized level.
Responsible
for taking and understanding HAZMAT and HAZCOM Training.
Responsible
for Food Safety when documenting results for SSOP, HACCP or other
pre-requisite programs.
Responsible for adhering to all food safety,
quality and GMP procedures specific to this position
Secondary Responsibilities
Capable
of performing a regular sanitation technician’s duties in assigned area.
Responsible
for learning breakdown and cleaning procedures of new equipment brought into
a department.
Assist
in maintaining a clean and organized sanitation chemical equipment storage
room.
Assist
in monitoring and cleaning if needed sanitation of non-production areas of
the plant.
Assist
in the monitoring of production and sanitation equipment during it’s
operation or handling, to help keep in proper working order.
Perform,
or assist in swabbing equipment in proper methods to obtain microbial or
bacterial information.
Packaging responsibilities:
Properly
set film registration on multivacs and run pre-flight set-up verification
before start up of 1st shift production.
Cookroom
Set-up
T-Sizers and Riscos.
Provide
supplies for 1st shift production; i.e. ingredients, clips, casings, etc.
Formulation
Insert
mixer lid seals.
Insert
grinder augers.
Insert
comitrol augers
Grease
comvair plates.
Physical Requirements:
Able
to work in variable temperatures of between 30 and 120 degrees on same
shift.
Work
in wet environment 100% of shift.
Work
with Dairy or boosted pressure hoses operating from 60 to 175 pounds of
pressure for 50% of shift.
Lift
up to 60 pounds frequently
Bend;
stoop squat push, pull, and turning 50% of shift.
Stand
50%, walk, 30%, and climb ladders 10% of shift.
Must
have vision of, or correctable to, 20/20.
Must
not have Acrophobia.
9. Must
weigh less than 375 pounds in order to be able to wear fall protection.
