Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support within a fast-paced medical environment. This position involves working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible service and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.
  • Provide patient care by preparing patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Support inpatient care within hospital medicine settings, assisting with various tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate coding processes for patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office or clinic, including the operating room (OR) when applicable.
  • Engage with patients to provide exceptional patient service, addressing their concerns and needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve systems and processes that enhance patient care delivery.

Skills

  • Proficient in medication administration techniques and protocols.
  • Knowledge of inpatient care practices within hospital medicine environments.
  • Familiarity with vital sign monitoring and documentation standards.
  • Strong understanding of coding practices relevant to medical records.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and service delivery.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.87 - $17.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
