Accounting Specialist

Job Responsibilities :
- Prepare and issue purchase orders
- Process accounts payable on a weekly basis
- Prepare vendor payments for mailing
- Maintain vendor files
- Maintain employee records in the payroll system
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll, including the filing of withholdings and payroll taxes
- Assist in the preparation of annual payroll tax returns and forms
- Maintain fixed assets
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the annual operating budget
- Assist in the preparation of various financial reports and data collection across all divisions
- Assists in processing insurance and workers' compensation claims
- Assist with human resources to include new hire reporting, benefits, and personnel files
- Serves as backup to Executive Assistant, including answering telephones, greeting visitors, ordering supplies, and data processing in support of departmental divisions and programs
- Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned
