Medical Coder Specialist (In-Office)
A private clinical lab in Mobile, Alabama is looking for a certified medical coding specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in oncology coding and also medical billing to utilize their skills and provide an accurate provider service experience.
Job Responsibilities :
- Code and bill for Hematology, Oncology, and Pathology services.
- Ensure accurate coding using ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS standards.
- Collaborate with physicians to clarify diagnoses and documentation.
- Process charges and claims within established timelines.
- Support accounts receivable processes, including billing, claims corrections, and reprocessing.
- Provide coding education and real-time feedback to providers.
