Patient Financial Counselor
The Woodlands Medical Specialists in Pensacola is looking for a full-time Patient Financial Counselor to relay the most positive and professional image possible to patients visiting this growing practice.
Job Responsibilities :
- Working with patients to collect out of pocket responsibility
- Auditing time of service collections, creating and monitoring payment plans and working accounts for collections
- Auditing patient accounts for timely payment on outstanding balances
- Setting up and monitoring monthly budget plans
- Meeting with patients to discuss their account
- Making daily time of service phone calls to inform patients of out of pocket costs
- Assisting check in / check out staff when time of service questions arise
- Respond to TOS requests from check in and meet with patients about their financial responsibility for services rendered
- Call patients when additional information is needed to check eligibility (new insurance information or policy number information)
