Casino Cage Cashier
A Casino Cage Cashier is responsible for assisting customers in the exchange of casino chips, slot vouchers, etc. for U.S. currency foreign currency. This role also assists in the pay out jackpots and manages credit applications.
Responsibilities
- Control and accounting of transactions for the cage window, main bank, chip bank and check bank
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees
- Maintains compliance with the incompatibility rule ensuring the integrity of the casino finance operation and maintains compliance with the approved Secondary Program as stated in the Internal Controls
- Performs guest and in house monetary transactions
- Complies with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJ DGE) regulations, the IRS Currency Transaction reporting laws and departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties delegated by departmental management (i.e. shredding, obtaining supplies, organizing, etc.).
- Balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, Food and Beverage and Hotel employees
- Report and log all Title 31 transactions
- Responsible for the job functions described in the NJAC Admin Code and Golden Nugget Atlantic City Controls pertaining to general cashiers, slot cashiers and chip persons. Performs the duties associated with the preparation and verification of a casino file as described in N.J.A.C. 19:45-1.27.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year of cash handling experience at a minimum; six months of cage cashier experience is preferred
Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner
Solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to learn additional areas and demonstrate a positive, team member player attitude
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment
- Must be able to obtain a valid Casino Employee Registration License
- Flexibility of shift and hours is required
