What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Soft Count Clerk position at Landry's?
Overview
It is the responsibility of the Count Team Lead to collect from Table Games and Slot bill validator drops along with other revenue centers and properly account for according to Nevada Gaming Control Regulations. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
- In the absence of the Count Team Assistant Supervisor, perform the following functions of the Assistant Supervisor
- Obtain keys for the Count Room from the Cage and Hotel Front Desk.
- Return keys at the end of the shift to the Cage and Hotel Front Desk.
- Notify Surveillance when the count is going to commence.
- Supervise and participate in the Count Room function, ensuring the integrity of the count and compliance with Gaming Regulations.
- Compare final count totals with computer input totals. Upon agreement, turn monies over to the Cage for a final blind count.
- Generate Table Games reports for the gaming day and check off the documents from each drop box against those reports.
- Turn in reports and paperwork to Casino Accounting in a timely manner.
- Record counts from kiosk drop on the balance sheets.
- Establish a good rapport with the Cage Supervisors, Slot Supervisors, Slot Shift Supervisors, and Casino Shift Managers in an effort to address problems as they arise.
- Ensure that the inventory of supplies is adequate and that all machinery is in good working order.
- Must be flexible with their work schedule
- Continuous knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Control Standards as they relate to the drop and count.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment when handling money and ensure accuracy.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
