Delivery Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will interact with clients and vendors during the delivery process. You will also be expected to load and unload items, operate delivery vehicles, and maintain accurate records of deliveries.

Duties

• Safely operate a 1 ton delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload items efficiently, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
• Utilize equipment such as a skid steer for loading and unloading tasks.
• Follow assigned routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns professionally.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route completed.
• Assist in moving items as needed within the warehouse or delivery locations.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
• Help with labor or maintenance during downtime

Skills

• Proven experience in route driving and delivering goods in a timely manner.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience with loading and unloading techniques, including heavy lifting capabilities.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts or skid steers is a plus.
• Ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery records.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week

Shift:

• 12 hour shift

Work Days:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
