We are seeking a seasonal part time Nursery Assistant for a busy tree farm and nursery. Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday Noon - 5:00pm; weekends as needed.
As a Tree Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in the care and maintenance of a large tree field and a multiple greenhouses. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the health of our plants/trees, assisting with irrigation systems, and providing excellent service to customers. Additionally, you will assist with the pick-up and delivery of bulk materials to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a large tree field, ensuring proper growth and health.
- Assist in monitoring plant health, including pruning, fertilization, and pest control.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure trees and plants receive adequate water.
- Assist customers with bulk material pick-up and deliveries, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Maintain the nursery's equipment, tools, and materials, keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Previous experience in horticulture or similar fields is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of plant health, tree care, and irrigation systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and operate basic nursery tools and equipment.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a team player.
