About us
Larry J. Bakker launched Landscape Design Services in 1968 at the same location where it remains today between Holland and Grand Haven. At the time, Larry was working out of his home with just one employee and a truck. Since then the business has grown to become the largest full-service landscape company in west Michigan with 165 team members. While the business has grown in size, the growth has been fueled by the one-on-one long-term relationships our designers and service staff have developed with our clients. Our team and service are our strength.
Larry’s sons, Matt and Jeremy Bakker, both grew up in the business and studied landscape architecture at Michigan State University. Matt and Jeremy are both active in the business and have been in leadership roles since Larry retired in December 2008.
Today we strive to continue to grow our knowledge in the industry. This enables us to stay on top of the ever changing methods and trends in the green industry and giving you the best possible solution for you projects needs.

If you...
Have a passion for
Have the knowledge to diagnose and repair electrical system and wiring
Have a Master Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience preferred
Have CDL, preferred class A or B
Have 2 years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment preferred

Service, diagnose, fabricate, and repair a wide variety of large equipment from wheel loaders to skid steers, and cars to semi tractors. Perform work in safe, reliable, and cost-efficient manner.
