What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Landscape Designs of Indianapolis?
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting crews, goods and materials. When not driving, you WILL be helping crews with plant packages, laying sod, mulching and other landscaping essentials.
During the winter we also do snow removal, salting and plowing.
Spanish speaking individuals are preferred, but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring safe handling of items during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Valid INDIANA driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
