Job Overview
As a Commercial Landscape Construction Foreman, you'll be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, managing a crew, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to spec. Fluency in Spanish is required, as many of our crew members are Spanish-speaking, and clear communication is essential to the success of our projects.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the landscape construction crew
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and site layouts
- Ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of all tasks
- Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with team members, clients, and subcontractors
- Operate and maintain equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, and compactors
- Enforce job site safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards
- Track progress, report issues, and handle basic documentation
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or related fields.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a diverse team effectively.
- Strong skills in hardscape installation, grading, drainage, planting, and irrigation systems.
- Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English (speaking and understanding).
- Proficient in operating landscaping equipment and tools safely.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining landscapes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project needs.
- Physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during projects.
