We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Specialist to join our team at Landscape Garden Centers (LGC). As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth. You will work closely with the Marketing Department to create marketing collateral, sales tools, and channel marketing programs that support our business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing our presence at trade shows and events to promote our brand and generate leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Execution: Assist the Marketing Manager in implementing marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, events, etc.).
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, blogs, and website, ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives.
- Social Media Management: Manage daily posts, interact with followers, and analyze performance on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.).
- Email Marketing: Design and distribute email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotions to engage current and potential customers.
- Market Research & Analytics: Analyze customer data, website traffic, and industry trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving marketing strategies.
- Local Outreach & Community Engagement: Support community events, garden workshops, and partnerships with local organizations to raise awareness about the garden center.
- Brand Management: Ensure all marketing materials are consistent with the brand’s tone, messaging, and visual identity.
- Promotions & Discounts: Coordinate the promotion of seasonal sales, new product launches, and exclusive discounts.
- Customer Feedback: Collect and analyze customer feedback, reviews, and surveys to improve marketing tactics and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in marketing, preferably in retail, garden centers, or a related industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, Google Analytics, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Basic understanding of SEO, SEM, and Google Ads is a plus
- Ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to marketing campaigns.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Passion for gardening, landscaping, and the outdoors is a plus.
