What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Help - Landscape Services Associate position at Landscape Garden Centers?
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Summer Landscape Services Associates. As an integral part of our landscape maintenance and services team, you will play a key role in preserving and enhancing the beauty of our outdoor spaces. This seasonal position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in landscaping and outdoor maintenance while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Duration: Summer Season (approximately May-August)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing various landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, and pruning to ensure the upkeep of outdoor areas.
- Help with the installation and maintenance of landscape features, including plants, shrubs, trees, and irrigation systems.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Participate in landscape enhancement projects, including planting, mulching, fertilizing, and soil preparation.
- Assist in identifying and addressing issues related to plant health, pest control, and irrigation to maintain landscapes' overall health and appearance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and complete projects within established timelines.
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Experience driving a truck and trailer is desired but not required.
