Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager will be based out of Columbus, OH, and will be
responsible for the team of sales associates in Ohio. This role involves a combination of
in-office, remote, and field work. The successful candidate will leverage marketing and
sales strategies to develop profitable business in both residential and commercial
Landscape construction and maintenance within an assigned geographical area or
business segment. This role involves client follow-up to ensure satisfaction and identify
additional business opportunities to meet sales goals. The ideal candidate will be adept
at understanding financial reports and establishing credibility with both internal and
external clients through honesty, consistency, and dependability
Key Responsibilities:
Identify prospects and develop comprehensive sales strategies to secure new
business.
Conduct market analysis to identify sales opportunities and potential clients.
Develop pricing models and business development strategies.
Prepare proposals, RFP responses, and sales presentations.
Collaborate with division heads and company executives to plan, execute, and
follow up on sales opportunities.
Follow up on referrals and self-generated leads to identify key decision-makers
and timing issues; prepare status reports as required.
Plan and organize activities to enhance our brand presence in the assigned
market.
Negotiate sales terms, contract details, and implementation timelines
Manage sales team
Track and report KPIs for your Team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of business development experience; 5 years preferred.
Extensive experience in business-to-business (B2B) service sales and
prospecting or residential sales
Experience in the construction industry preferred
Hallmarks of a Successful Candidate:
Proven track record in B2B service sales.
Extensive experience in lead generation, pipeline management, and closing
deals.
Strong ability to understand and interpret financial reports.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
