A Porter is responsible for safely and efficiently producing quality facility maintenance, meeting or exceeding the expectations of Landscape Workshop and our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds and amenities including building exteriors, parking lots, sidewalks, dumpster enclosures, landscape elements and any other areas defined as part of the scope of work.
• Keep all areas defined in the scope of work free of debris, trash, cigarette butts, loose paper, fallen branches, spills, stains, and any other items not in keeping with the intended look of the facility.
• Report any hazardous conditions such as potholes, loose pavers, blown light bulbs, insect nests, broken glass, sharp edges, etc. immediately to Supervisor for follow up with Property Manager.
• Assist and/or perform additional maintenance tasks throughout the property as requested by Supervisor, Property Manager, or Teammate.
• Maintain and correctly use all power equipment including blowers, Billy Goats, Little Wonders, etc. Ensure all equipment has the proper amount of oil and is kept in good working order. Notify Supervisor of any defects, broken/missing parts, impaired function, etc. immediately.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times-on/off property.
Safety
• Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines as stated in the Employee Handbook, and attend mandatory safety meetings
• Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
• Immediately report all unsafe conditions.
Essential Job Functions
The essential function of a Landscape Workshop Porter is to keep a particular property or portion of a property clean, neat, and tidy. The Porter will patrol the area assigned to him/her and sweep or pick up any unwanted debris and trash. This may include, but is not limited to, cigarette butts, fast food containers, drink cups, aluminum cans, glass bottles, newspapers, plastic bags, paper bags, candy wrappers, chewing gum, stray branches, grass clippings, rocks, soil, spills, stains, etc. In addition, the Porter will routinely check trash receptacles in his/her assigned area and, if needed, remove full trash liners and replace with new trash liners. In some cases the Porter will use small power equipment such as leaf vacuums and backpack blowers to assist in their duties.
Salary : $12 - $14
